My 5 Favorite Moments from the 20th Anniversary Reunion of Harry Potter

Hufflepuff is in the house! The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is the magical nostalgia we all need. This reunion was put together so well, with the cast telling tales of their filming days, giving us behind the scenes looks, and just genuine joy surrounding their experiences with the franchise. The opening brought big tears to my eyes, seeing the featured cast receive letters to return to Hogwarts. It is a two hour long special but it was so easy to watch as a Potterhead. I loved hearing all the different stories from the cast. 

Harry Potter taught me so much about friendship, bravery, and loyalty growing up, so to see these actors still hold these virtues today was refreshing. This quote from Rupert sums up my sentiments about the franchise.  

“Even though we don’t see each other all the time, it’s a strong bond that we’ll always have, I love you.”

Here are 5 of my Favorite Moment from the Reunion

1. Rupert Grint not turning in his homework assignment to Director Alfonso Cuarón because he didn’t think Ron would do it…is so RON. LOL
2. Emma talking about her crush on Tom Felton 
3. Helena is still my favorite person ever. I love everything about Helena. She’s witty and hilarious. She gave Daniel a letter that he wrote to her years ago about how he loved her and wished he was born earlier to have a chance with her. No one else but Helena!
4. The way the cast reminisced our fallen Harry Potter Cast was heartwarming and the tears just came pouring out. 
5. The bond that Daniel, Emma, and Rupert  still have with each other 10 years from the last movie is unmatched. 

The magic and legacy of Harry Potter will live on years and years and years from now. I braced myself for the entire special because I knew there would be some type of tribute to Alan Rickman, and they did not disappoint. Severus’ last words at the end were perfect. Always.
