LA LISTE: EVERYTHING OR NOTHING

Red Bull Studio’s La Liste brings you to new heights, 6,000 METERS to be exact! La Liste takes you on an incredible journey of professional skier Jérémie Heitz and his skiing partner Sam Anthamatten (along with a brave film crew) as they set out to break the record of free skiing at over 6000 meters above sea level!

Now, I don’t know about you but I like to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground so the idea of climbing up a 6000 meter mountain WITH skiing gear takes a lot of ambition and endurance that I simply do not have. However, that is not the case for our brave duo. The film gives you a behind the scenes look at the physical training and mental mindset that went into breaking this free skiing record.

What was so crazy to me about this story was the fact that Jérémie had been in competitions, been heavily praised by his peers and onlookers; however, he NEVER won a single event. Most people would be defeated never having won at the thing they loved most however, Jérémie took those loses as a sign to focus on his bigger goal of taking free skiing to all new level. This played into how he and his ski partner Sam met and became friends and how they got into this wild adventure together.

This documentary will teach you so many lessons about determination and perseverance. The cinematography is phenomenal and makes the movie that much more enjoyable!

Some key takeaways:

  • Win or fail, never give up on your dream.
  • Doing the impossible takes a lot of determination and perseverance.

I like to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground too! But I wish I had the desire and drive to do this. It would be fascinating. But I don’t so I shall watch from the armchair.
