Ok, so Ryan Reynolds has taken over my heart as one of my top favorite Actors. He plays the funny witty guy so well and didn’t disappoint in The Adam Project!
Big Adam Reed (Reynolds) is a fighter pilot from the future who accidentally crash lands in his old backyard in 2022. He is on a mission to get to 2018 and stop Maya, the CEO of Sorian from taking the love of his life and destroying the future. Little Adam Reed (Walker Scobell) is a smart-mouthed bully magnet who is constantly getting in trouble while his mother (Jennifer Garner), is doing her best to try to move on from the death of her husband, date and support her son while he is being difficult at every turn.
“Make good choices!” “Says the boy who got suspended!”
Little Adam, His Mom
His mom is out on a date when he hears big Adam’s spaceship crash in the woods. When they finally meet each other in his Fathers garage they go head for head for head in the jokes department. Yawl Scobell and Reynolds are PERFECTION together. We could sum it up to the script but the comedic chemistry they possess on-screen couldn’t have been written!
“Were you shot?” “No, I was stabbed with a bullet – what do you think?”
Little Adam, Big Adam
The two Adams team up to time travel back to 2018 and find the one person who can help, the creator of time travel, their father. They have to battle Sorian and her time travel goons to make sure the future is secure. The way this all plays out is magical and good and warms your heart.
The movie is just plain funny yawl. We get a love story, fast-moving action, suspense, betrayal, and who doesn’t love a good reunion? The movie also stars Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo. There’s a lightsaber and a superhero pose and all the things that make this a perfect movie.
My favorite quote in this whole movie is
“Then I’m lost” – “Not anymore I found you.”
Nope I’m not gonna tell you who said it or why just know a little tear will escape your eyes.
I am so excited to hear everyone’s thoughts – make sure to tune into Netflix on March 11th!
Key Takeaways:
