I watched all the Marvel movies in chronological order and yep you should do it!

You guys we’re living in Rona times so what better days to take on the Marvel Challenge and watch every Marvel movie in Chronological order?! Starting on April 27th, I finished watching the latest release Spider-Man Far From Home around 1:30AM on May 10th, taking just about two weeks to watch every movie. Now I did find myself needing a break somewhere between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and 2 so I probably could have finished the movies in less time.

So why should you watch the Marvel Movies in Chronological Order? I’m glad you ask….You literally watch the events happen on a real timeline. You witness the “discovery” of the Tesseract on Earth and the reason why the Avengers needed to come to fruition. Each movie either builds on the last,  introduces us to the story of a vital character, or gives us additional insight into the lives of characters already revealed. You get a clear outline from the beginning to Endgame and with the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home you get a look at the world post Endgame.

Using Tech Radar’s Chronological list here’s the order in which I watched the movies.

  • Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII)
  • Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995)
  • Iron Man (takes place in 2010)
  • Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man)
  • The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers)
  • Thor (takes place six months before Avengers)
  • The Avengers (takes place in 2012)
  • Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers)
  • Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  • Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians)
  • Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015)
